We're looking for a video editor to help us continue to produce exceptional video content. This isn't a role with a rigid brief: if you can consistently create content that hits our bar, we want to hear from you, whatever your background.

We're not looking for "good enough". We work with and have spoken to a lot of brilliant editors, and the bar is really high. For a sense of the quality and style we already produce, take a look at the video content coming out of Invert.

Today, we produce a weekly show and short documentaries. As we continue to scale, we'll be putting out multiple regular shows and investigative work over the coming weeks and months.

Key Responsibilities
-Creating extraordinary content, in the room from ideation and during filming.
-Editing long- and short-form video content across the Basis Group, for our companies and our clients, from raw footage through to a polished, TV-ready cut.
-Match or improve on the pace, style, and production quality of our current content.
-Match our speed and punctility.
-Take a brief and run with it, flagging and enacting creative ideas that could make the content stronger.
-Actively working with leadership to build out and run a crackforce of video and editing talent.

What we're looking for
-Taste.
-A strong portfolio or reel of video editing.
-Sharp editing instincts: pacing, hooks, b-roll, captions and sound.
-Reliability: someone who delivers on time, without us having to chase.
-Proactive: someone who is comfortable working independently with a brief, and can creatively improve and build on it.
