Video Editor/Camera Operator

Soho, London

CoinGeek is a media organisation supporting the development of Bitcoin SV, the app-friendly Bitcoin which is true to the original vision of Bitcoin inventor Satoshi Nakamoto - hence SV, meaning Satoshi Vision.

CoinGeek produces articles, videos and podcasts, as well as regular international conferences. It has offices in London and Manila and its own team of reporters, producers, writers and editors.

We are looking for someone with all-round video production skills to shoot and edit content, whether news reports, documentaries, interviews or multi-camera discussions.

Don't worry if the subject matter is new to you. Most people have joined the organisation without knowing much about Bitcoin, but have learned fast!

Responsibilities:
• Filming in a variety of settings, for different kinds of content
• Recording the video and audio output of conferences
• Advising on suitable equipment for filming and maintaining CoinGeek's kit
• Editing video and audio under the direction of a member of our production team
• Outputting finished content and maintaining an archive for future use
• Contributing to the creative process with ideas for both style and content

What are we looking for?
• Proven experience as a one-person camera operator on video shoots
• Proven experience as a video editor
• Ability to improvise on a shoot to make the most of lighting and locations
• Attention to detail in both filming and editing
• Ability to work efficiently with colleagues near and far, and to adapt to fast-changing priorities
