Amnesty International's Marketing and Communications team is looking for an experienced professional to produce fast turnaround compelling video that speaks to the trending human rights issues of the day.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You prioritize speed and the news cycle to deliver daily social videos for various social channels
You can identify and pitch relevant stories, source content and distil information into scripts
You enjoy collaborative working and can lead a video project with tight deadlines
Your communication and stakeholder management skills enable you to handle complex approval processes quickly

ABOUT YOU

You are a digital native with experience in a fast-paced, creative environment with a background in news and social media.
You have a track record of boosting audiences and digital engagement online through creative compelling video
You have strong script writing and video editing skills, experience with sourcing, copyright and consent.
You enjoy a new challenge every day and the reward of growing a movement for positive change in the world
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Write and edit daily compelling and informative human rights video content for our social media channels
Identify trending topics and distil information (working with social media colleagues) to craft daily short form videos.
Attending morning news meetings and identify stories to develop
Fact-checking to ensure all content is on point and on brand, and that assets used are either fully cleared or credited in accordance with Amnesty International video guidelines
Reediting existing video content in a variety of dimensions
Collaborate with team members across our organisation and ensure all content is reviewed by the relevant Amnesty stakeholders
Schedule the production of video content including picture research, copyright, duplication and updates and distribution to the movement
Ensure all original Amnesty International material is logged - specifically supporting the development of Amnesty's digital asset management system - ADAM.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal, negotiation skills with the ability to involve multiple stakeholders in video productions.
Excellent video editing skills using Adobe Premiere with After Effects experience desirable
Comprehensive grasp of media law (particularly copyright), ethical considerations regarding video or audio recording of individuals and licensing content.
Ability to handle tight deadline pressures
Can-do confidence to engage with the news team to identify and produce stories
Single-handedly execute the entire writing and edit production process -- from ideation and organization to management and execution.
Deep and demonstrated knowledge of current social media trends and how to optimise video content and engagement online.
Attention to detail and an ability to convey complex information in a straightforward, interesting and motivating way.
Ability to follow templates and source photos/b-roll.
Post-production speed and dexterity essential.
Fluency in English essential with a journalism experience desirable.
