Video Content Creator

Richmond, London hybrid

As our full-time Video Content Creator, you'll be responsible for delivering video content for our social media, paid ads, website and more. We're growing our creative studio and are looking for someone who is passionate about creating engaging content, and understands what works best for each channel (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube).

You'll be joining our growing creative studio, reporting to our Creative Lead and working alongside our Copywriter, Graphic & Motion Designers, Marketing Managers and Creative Producer. You'll have strong, versatile video skills and be ready to come up with concepts, collaborate with the team to refine them, grab a camera or phone to shoot content, edit footage to optimise for each channel, and iterate on previous content to improve performance.

You will:

Monitor social video trends and present ideas for paid and organic social media, including video-first channels like TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube
Produce video content for social media platforms, including spotting opportunities, pitching concepts, shooting and editing videos and creating motion graphics
Collaborate with the Marketing team to plan monthly video output, advise on content prioritisation and strategy, and review incoming video requests
Contribute to ideation and concepting, collaborating with our Paid Social to review performance of previous assets to keep optimising them
Support the Brand Manager and Copywriter on producing spontaneous, playful content for our social channels
Support in organising video production at editorial shoots, including coordinating in-house and freelance capacity, and editing where appropriate.
Collaborate on projects produced by external agencies and content creators
You will report to the Creative Design Lead, and will be supported by our in-house Motion Designer - but you'll have the opportunity to work autonomously and independently.

About SPOKE
How it started ...

SPOKE began with one big idea: Fit comes first - but most brands can't deliver it.

They churn through styles and spread themselves thin across lots of stores - leaving leave huge size gaps, which we all fall through. The clothes we wear are often uncomfortable or unflattering - and a pain to shop for.

It doesn't have to be like this, we thought. We could use e-commerce to customise each order - offering a flawless, personalised fit, without the hassle and expense of bespoke.

So we did. In 2014 we set about building a digital menswear brand - using the reach of the web - to focus on aspirational men, and the things that really matter to them. Starting with fit.

How it's going...

In ten years we've acquired more than 300,000 customers and sold nearly 1.5 million pairs of trousers in the UK, the US and Europe.

More than half of our customers shop again, and 20% return within 30 days - the best endorsement we could ask for. We are onto something. ?? check out live reviews here

We're in the sweet spot. We have real traction, and money to invest behind our ideas - but we're still young enough that you'll see your impact every day.

You'll point to SPOKE and say 'I did that'. And it will feel great.

Requirements
In an ideal world, you'd have ...

Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, a dab hand in After Effects and motion graphics
Comfortable using Premiere Pro - or other softwares - for editing video
An understanding of what's thumb-stopping and engaging for key social media channels
A strong ability to create video content, from idea to finished product, including lighting and post-production colouring experience
Confidence both in front and behind the camera
An authentic interest in menswear and/or e-commerce
BUT ... more than anything else, we value horsepower, and hustle. What'll make you stand out:

Creative spark - an instinct for finding a distinctive, even offbeat answer to the brief, characterised by humour, and (occasionally) a taste for the (slightly) ridiculous
Commercial instincts - a natural sense for what matters, what moves the needle, and what is actually viable, from the perspective of our budget and our brand
A bias to action - the ability to plan work, track progress and keep the wheels turning, getting things done at high tempo
The standard startup toolkit: initiative, energy, a high degree of comfort in an unstructured environment, and a willingness to work across a broad range of roles
Benefits
You can expect:

A competitive salary and annual bonus programme
25 days of holiday - and 1 additional day for each year of service
1 paid day per year to volunteer with Matchable
Vitality health insurance
Spill mental health support
3% pension matching
£500 annual learning and development budget
3&2 working week - work from home (or anywhere else) 2 days per week
Regular team socials and events
Perhaps the most generous 'trouser allowance' anywhere in the world*
*unproven, but highly likely

Our office is, honestly, bloody lovely. Its a 30 second walk from Richmond station, so just 20 minutes to Waterloo - but also a stone's throw from the Thames, 5 minutes from Richmond Common ... and in the shadow of Kew Gardens
