Video Assistant Producers (x3)

Virtual but London access is useful

DLA wants to immediately employ up to 3 x full timer video APs on our production team. You can be based anywhere in the world: our workflow is virtual. We could need your time 24/7 up to March 2017 (but you can take a break at Christmas!). Our pay for these posts is in the range GBP 100-125 per day depending on experience.

We have a big pipeline of projects in hand - about 150 videos to produce in the next few months. They are all making video news segments for education and learning activities of a global youth audience, to be distributed in digital text books published by several of the worlds top publishers.

You will be working from publishers' content specifications through treatment and script up to edited product (but not driving the edits). The main source of material is the archives of one of the world's biggest broadcast news outlets, with whom we have an exclusive content sourcing arrangement. Some videos also have specially shot segments which you might have to script and shoot.

You need excellent English, a developed sense of how video engages and communicates with the You Tube generation, and the ability to work across many units simultaneously in a structured workflow. We want creative minds that will think laterally about how to turn education outcomes into compelling viewing.
