VFX Production Coordinator

BBC Studios' Natural History Unit (NHU) is the leading producer of wildlife programming, creating award-winning content with a world class reputation. Following on from the recent success of series such as Prehistoric Planet and Planet Earth 3 the BBC Natural History Unit is creating a spectacular CGI-based super landmark about prehistoric animals. We are looking for an experienced VFX Co-ordinator to work on this major ground-breaking project. The VFX Coordinator will be liaising with all members of the BBC VFX team, BBC Producers and Execs, Editors, Assistant Producers and Researchers in the Natural History Unit, and with the studio(s) creating the VFX.
Main Responsibilities
* Managing the daily flow of information and media between these two teams - acting as a conduit between vendor and BBC team, passing information/feedback and answering any relevant questions
* Sending and receiving media for remote reviews
* Setting up reviews, briefings, meetings and video calls as needed
* Extensive note taking in review sessions
* Keeping Shotgrid up to date with notes from reviews/feedback direct from relevant parties and keeping on top of shot and version statuses
Are you the right candidate?
* Experience working as a VFX Co-ordinator on a high-end, high shot count VFX broadcast TV/film project, either vendor or client-side.
* Strong understanding of VFX processes, pipeline and terminology across departments and stages
* Excellent communication skills
* Highly organised, able to multi task and manage time efficiently
* Strong attention to detail
* Ability to work well in teams and share information
* Experience of tracking shot progress and updating a shot database - experience using Shotgrid or similar tools essential
* Familiarity with Filemaker Pro Software would be advantageous but not essential
* Experience taking clear and detailed notes in VFX dailies and client reviews
