VFX Compositor

London

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Combine elements such as live action footage, CG renders, stock elements etc. to create the final image
Help troubleshoot Nuke technical issues across projects
Develop new compositing techniques and workflows
Meet delivery deadlines under production constraints
Work closely with Supervisors to develop tools and workflows associated with Compositing

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
Excellent working knowledge of Nuke
A good understanding of photographic principles and Compositing techniques
The ability to work well within a team environment and take direction from Producers and Supervisors
A good understanding of color-space principles
Excellent listening and communication skills, and the ability to receive direction and criticism
Excellent presentation/communication skills in dailies/reviews by clearly and briefly outlining what has been accomplished and what next should be addressed in the shot
Demonstrates an excellent aesthetic eye, anticipating potential problems
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively

ADDITIONAL SKILLS:
Knowledge of practical lighting for photography
A good working knowledge of the overall VFX pipeline
Basic knowledge of Python and/or Mel scripting
