As part of the PQA Venues Technical Team, you will be fully involved in the running of all spaces. Under the Technical Manager, all technical staff will be present for the get in, build and get out, setting up and operating sound, light and AV for our visiting companies.You will work across all spaces and will be required to learn the systems across all spaces and be part of the technical rehearsals, programming the sound, lighting and projection and ensuring there are detailed Sound and LX plots and DSM scripts. Shows will range from complex to more simple designs with some visiting companies providing their own operators. In such cases, you will be required to ensure the visiting Technician is competent in the operation of all technical equipment we provide.Basic training will be given on all systems you are required to operate.In addition to the day to day running, the PQA Venues Technical Team will be collectively responsible for the cleanliness and Health and Safety of the performance space.Working closely with Front of House you will assist with the get in and out of the visiting companies and audience members while ensuring that each show goes up on time and comes down on time. You will keep strict records for shows that overrun.Dates of engagement: 23rd July - 28th AugustFee: £1800 Inclusive on either a self-employed or PAYE statusWorking Hour: A minimum of 8 hours per day throughout the run, with longer days at the start and end for technical rehearsals and the get-in and get-out of the venue.Days Off: a minimum of 2 days off throughout the run.
