The Studio:
Bally's has made a significant investment in establishing a studio complex in the heart of North Staffordshire. Spanning over 2300 square feet, our studios are extremely adaptable to cater for a variety of production requirements and Live Streaming/Programming. Our aim is to develop new and innovative ways to enhance our player experience through community, video, on-site promotions, and social media.

The Role:
We are currently looking to employ a Transmission Operator to join our vibrant and enthusiastic broadcast operations team in our studios in Staffordshire. You will be a highly motivated team member who will bring energy and commitment to our department.

This is a multi-skilled position which encompasses a range of responsibilities and duties. These responsibilities will include gallery operations (lighting, vision and camera control, communications, circuit co-ordination, vision mixing, programme direction and sound mixing), studio operations (camera operations and floor management), transmission control and post-production. It is also expected that the successful candidate will have the ability to independently plan, shoot and edit content for our social/community outlets.

Key Responsibilities:
Rigging and operating studio equipment effectively (multi-camera)
To operate cameras on directed multi-camera productions including handheld operations
Vision control including camera line-up for multi-camera studio operations
Operation of robotic studio cameras in a fast moving environment
Ability to organise and manage a transmission schedule
Understand the concepts of vision mixing including key generation and macro building
Studio graphics design and operation
Ability to rig and set lamps in the studios to production requirements. Including lighting both green screen and hard studio sets appropriately in line with the brief
Operation capability on sound desks including knowledge of acceptable broadcast levels
To manage studio communications including radio talkback systems
Video server play out and recording
Autoscript operations
Understanding of CAR/MCR structure and confidence to route sources
To line up and assess quality of outside sources and associated
Ability to edit material accurately and within acceptable broadcast standards
Ability to organise and manage a transmission schedule
Knowledge of basic QC checks
Can listen and execute instruction within the studio environment
Desirable Skills:
Knowledge of Ross Video systems
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere / After Effects / Audition)
Ability to operate ETC lighting desks
Previous Experience:
Degree level (or equivalent) in a relevant technical or broadcast discipline
Experience working in Live Broadcast or Video production environments
