Television Researcher

International television production company, NHNZ Worldwide is seeking an experienced researcher - with strong journalistic skills - to work on the production of documentaries and factual television series for the international market.

About us
NHNZ Worldwide is an Emmy-award winning documentary production company with 30-plus years' experience in the international television market. From 111 episodes of human triumph in I SURVIVED for A&E to the cinematic wonder of MYSTERIOUS PLANET for the launch of Discovery+, NHNZ Worldwide has proven itself across multiple unscripted and documentary genres. We are focused on forward-thinking and innovative programs for the global market and produce blockbusters for top franchises such as SharkFest and Megastructures.

About the role
In this role you will be expected to thoroughly research factual and documentary television concepts instigated by yourself or our development team. Previous journalistic experience should enable you to find what others can't, and establish relationships with international talent. You will support both our production and development teams and report to the Chief Content Officer. This is a newly created position to join an ambitious and agile team who are all committed to making world-leading television.

You will need:
• Strong journalistic skills
• A passion for television
• Industry/research experience
• Ability to initiate fresh commercial ideas
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• A can-do attitude and initiative to match
• Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
• Ability to form and maintain strong relationships with talent in front of and behind the camera
