Technician

44 and 40 hours contracts available.

You will provide a full and professional technical support service ensuring we carry out our production activities settling for nothing but the best. You will assist the technical management in all technical related duties but with an emphasis on the lighting and sound elements of our productions on and off stage including get-ins, get-outs, show running, maintenance of stage equipment and general backstage housekeeping. This role is all about supporting all areas of lighting, sound, stage, AV, furniture logistics and maintenance related activities.

We will expect you to enhance our standing for operating a safe working environment, ensure high standards are maintained and deliver faultless customer service. Whether supporting training activities, liaising with visiting productions, carrying out maintenance or preparing events you will make your mark and build your reputation.

You must have experience in a technical theatre role covering musicals, ballet and opera and be used to working with lighting, sound or AV equipment to operator and rigging level. You will also have experience of working with PA, digital sound desks and radio mics as well as lighting equipment including the EOS Lighting control system. You will have a good understanding of H&S legislation as well as knowledge of MAC and PC software such as Qlab, Parallels, Powerpoint too.

Highly organised and a good communicator you are effective at multi-tasking and have an eye for detail. Reliable, your flexible approach will be complemented by good team working skills.
