Technical Sound Designer

Portsmouth

We are looking for a talented and highly enthusiastic in-house Technical Sound Designer to join our award-winning development team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Take ownership of audio and its supporting systems, and port them to the target platforms
Ensure the title meets performance and memory targets for the platforms
Ensure the title meets mix standards for the platforms
Ensure the title's audio translates to multiple setups, from headphones to speakers and surround sound
Utilise platform features to champion and expand the game's audio on the new platforms
Requirements
Experience with Unreal Engine 4 / 5
Proficiency with audio middleware (Wwise and/or FMOD)
Proficiency with visual programming languages (Unreal Blueprints / Max MSP / Pure Data)
Knowledge of modern audio technology like ambisonics, Dolby Atmos, and 3D audio
Excellent communication skills
Good problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks
Proficiency with at least one DAW (preferably Reaper)
Bonus points:

Familiarity with C++
Experience with Unreal Engine's audio systems
Experience with current-gen console platforms
