Technical Runner, Countryfile - BBC StudiosBase: BristolContract Dates: 3rd of August - 18th of December 2026Interview Dates (Online / In person) : 27th/28th of July 2026Closing Date: 21st July 2026Countryfile, BBC One's flagship factual series and one of the UK's most-watched factual programmes, is looking for an enthusiastic and organised Technical Runner to join the team.This is an exciting opportunity for someone with previous experience in post-production or television production to gain hands-on experience within a busy and supportive production environment.Working across production and post-production, you'll play an important role in managing rushes, supporting technical workflows and helping coordinate filming equipment.We're looking for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented and enjoys problem-solving. If you're eager to learn, work collaboratively and develop your career in television production, we'd love to hear from you.Main Responsibilities:• Check rushes logs and paperwork against incoming media during the ingest process.• Sync rushes, including responsibility for weekend rushes syncing on a regular basis.• Coordinate equipment movements between Victoria House and Bridgewater House in Bristol.• Assist with the preparation, maintenance and return of production equipment before and after shoots.• Support technical and post-production workflows to ensure media is handled accurately and efficiently.• Provide shoot support on location when production requirements dictate.• Maintain clear and accurate records relating to rushes, equipment and technical processes.What We're Looking For:• Have a minimum of 1 year experience in a post-production, production or media environment, or can demonstrate transferable skills from a related role.• Are highly organised, with strong attention to detail.• Can accurately manage records, logs and documentation.• Are comfortable working independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment.• Are flexible and willing to regularly work a weekend day to support media syncing requirements.• Have strong communication and teamwork skills.• Remain calm under pressure and approach challenges with a positive and professional attitude.• A full UK driving licence is desirable; however, we welcome applications from candidates who can meet the travel requirements by other means.• Experience of AVID desirable but not essentialBBC Studios is committed to increasing the diversity of its workforce, and we strongly encourage applicants from under-represented backgrounds to apply.
