Printworks London (formerly Harmsworth Quays) was established in the docklands in 1989, and for 24 years The Evening Standard, The Daily Mail and Metro newspapers rolled off its presses. The unique site has now embraced a new lease of life, in which the former factory's warehouses and magnificent Press Halls have been revived as ground-breaking, multi-purpose event spaces.

You will be passionate about working in the live and electronic music events industry, display positive association and awareness, and be dedicated to building, protecting and developing the Printworks brand. In this role you will have the opportunity to build and implement innovative, clear and defined world class operation plans, working closely with the senior management team.

What the Technical Production Assistant will do:

Assist the Production Manager with the technical advancing of all artists (live and DJ) appearing at the Printworks London music shows.
Be responsible for the booking and managing of all local crew for all production related tasks (load-in, load-out, build, break & changeover crew) in a timely & concise manner each week.
Manage all deliveries and collections relating to the production of the shows (additional staging, SFX, audio, lighting, production spares and supplies).
Manage the inventory of all assets in the production storage space.
Supervise load-ins, load-outs, and event build and break days, under the instruction of the Printworks London Production Manager.
Communicate with, and occasionally be the point of contact for visiting tour/production managers and technical crew, under the instruction of the Printworks London Production Manager.
Work alongside the Operations team on a variety of online documents to maintain schedule of incoming production, crew bookings and weekly production schedule.
Assist with, and work on the Printworks London music shows as required.
Clearly communicating with suppliers via e-mail and telephone on a daily basis.
General operations and production support as and when required.
Other ad-hoc venue set-up tasks pre & post show days.


Skills and Attributes required:

A good basic understanding of the various production disciplines (staging, lighting, video, audio, SFX) is essential for this role. A good level of demonstratable experience in at least two of the above areas is required.
Knowledge and previous experience of working with modern DJ equipment (Pioneer CDJs, DJM mixers, Technics 1210s, Allen & Heath mixers) is essential for this role.
Flexibility to work across a 7-day rota (5 days out of 7, Monday to Sunday).Passionate about live and electronic music.
Unconventional, dedicated and likeable, with a thirst for getting stuck in.
Organised, structured and calm.
Excellent written English and numerical skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills. Clear and concise radio communications is essential for this role.
Excellent office & computer literacy skills; previous demonstratable experience & proficiency in excel, word and google drive is essential.
Previous experience in a stage management role would be advantageous but not essential.
A working knowledge of CAD and/or Sketch Up would be advantageous but not essential.
