We are recruiting for a Technical & Post Production Manager.Our portfolio includes high end blue chip international Natural History series, documentaries, factual entertainment and children's animation and drama.Working with the highest spec cameras and techniques we produce 4K UHD series for UK and International broadcasters. Our ethos is to document the natural world and inspire our audiences through our content. We make programming that breathes life into our natural world and helps for our audiences to think about how we can help to promote and protect our amazing and beautiful environment.As an experienced Technical & Post Production Manager you will be a key member of the team, based in Glasgow - assisting across the company with workflow design and technical support over a portfolio of productions.Experience and Duties:- you will have several years' experience of working in broadcast post production- extensive knowledge of post technologies from capture through to delivery- Experience delivering high-end productions to UK and International Broadcasters- Thorough knowledge of Avid- Solid understanding of camera formats and codecs.- Experience of interpreting and implementing broadcaster tech specs- Archive Management experienceThe role will cover:- Management of Post Production processes across the company.- Managing workloads and priorities across the post team with day to day responsibility for edit assistant- Offering technical advice and support to production teams and location crews- Create and maintain documents for camera settings and technical activities in line with Tech Specs- Assisting Production Teams with workflow design and implementation and ability to identifying and bring solutions to challenges in delivery schedules- Assisting with the scheduling and crewing of Post Production offline/online edits and dubs in liaison with Production Team- Overseeing the edit schedules to manage day-to day, streamlining processes- Communicate effectively with the Editors and production teams across a variety of series and bases- Liaising with all departments and ensuring they have what they need to stay on schedule, as well as trouble shooting when problems occur to ensure delivery is on time.- Completing DPP Metadata, ensuring edit specific paperwork is correct and prepping all files for delivery with the post production facility- Overseeing the Delivering files to Broadcaster- Researching new technologies and methods of working to streamline processes.- Managing in-house kit itinerary, maintaining logs of drives, IT licences and assisting with rentals and servicing of Tech and KitDeadline for application: Friday 19 November 2021Please send a cover letter and CV.The role will be based from our Glasgow Office, with travel to locations across Scotland and post production facilities in Bristol as required.Start date: dependent on availability ideally December 2021/January 2022.
