Overall Job Purpose
Working as part of a team, providing front line technical ingest operations in a busy Sport Broadcaster Post Production environment. This is a technical role and will require quick learning of workflows, a technical mindset, an enthusiasm for learning how things work, good time management and an ability to think on your feet.

Main tasks and responsibilities:
Technical operational work across post production operations for BBC Sport TV, BBC Sports News, Red Button, iPlayer and the BBC Sport website
EVS ingest for Avid and Adobe edits and archive, including live feed ingest and internet stream ingest
File and camera card ingest, media wrangling and media management duties
Support of fast turnaround Sports News workflows
Other tasks and responsibilities:
Technical support and troubleshooting of archive, ingest and edit systems
QC of incoming content for edit and broadcast
Dealing with clients face to face in a high-pressure environment

Attributes

Skills, Ability & Experience
Essential
• Knowledge and experience of Post Production workflows, including for live broadcasts
• Great written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to manage your own workload and prioritise effectively
• A minimum basic level of familiarity with Avid Media Composer and/or Adobe Premiere
• Familiarity with both Mac and Windows OS

Education and Training
Essential
• 5 + A to C level GCSE's or equivalent
Desirable
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent in a technical, engineering and/or media subject
