Essential Qualities:
Candidates will be expected to learn and implement the skills and knowledge of this established role with the company in a short period of time. Working within a small team, candidates should be able to multi task and thrive in a fast paced Live environment, think on their feet, work individually and as part of a team and make critical decisions. Candidates should be PC literate and have a good understanding of television, production, broadcasting or engineering.

Visiual and audio mixing

Cameras, Microphones and lighting
General understanding of broadcast technology

Role Description:
Technical Moderator: Reports to: Broadcast Operations Manager
To implement outlined guidelines of the department to ensure a fully functional technical environment in terms of assets, external liaising, live show support and project development.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
• Providing studio representation and live show support to effectively maintain standards of broadcast.
• Daily implementation and maintenance of studio equipment in line with technical, production and design guidelines.
• Assisting the Broadcast Operations Manager with implementing new procedures.
• Assisting the Production Manager with implementing new procedures.
• Implementation of set production guidelines to structurally prepare potential sales points and ideas.
• Actively involvement in pre-show briefs with producers and on-air talent ensuring that thematic cohesion is met and technical standards are met prior to going live.
• Monitoring the operation and handling of equipment during live broadcast; monitoring aesthetics, health and safety and compliance in line with technical and design guidelines.


This is a rolling freelance position that is exclusively night work that includes weekends.
