Driven by creativity and inspired by the future, we set out every day to reframe the possible.The RoleTechnical Artists as part of our Immersive Division are responsible for working alongside Developers and Artists in devising and implementing internal prototypes and delivering high-quality products and projects for both IP and brand clients across a range of mediums on cutting-edge hardware - including VR, AR, real-time animation and other emerging platforms.The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of both the art and technical side of Unreal Engine, with a problem-solving mindset; a keen interest in realtime lighting would be advantageous.What you'll do:Work with the Real-time Supervisor, Lead Tech Artist or Lead Developer to design interactive experiences using (predominantly) UnrealMaterial Creation - Design complex materials in Unreal and instruct artists on best practicesLighting - Be well versed in the various lighting techniques in Unreal and instruct the artists in lighting best practicesOptimisation - Optimise content through profiling and enhancing performance with the help of diagnostic tools and instructing the artists on modelling and texturing best practicesCollaborate with programmers to develop and test new features, prototype shader code, and provide useful feedback during R&D phasesA demonstrable level of technical knowledge combined with strong creative and visual instinctJob requirementsWhat we're looking for:Experience working with Unreal EngineAdvanced experience with Unreal's Blueprints systemAdvanced experience with Maya and/or HoudiniExperience with VR/AR authoring in UnrealShader programming experienceYou might also have:Scripting skills with MEL, Python, C#, Javascript and C++Positive attitude towards learning and sharingDeadline-oriented; able to work in a fast-paced environmentAble to solve problems as they arise and remain calm in high-pressure situationsExperience with Unity
