An exciting opportunity for a producer/editor to work on a daily tech news service as part of the wider ITNP News team.The job entails researching, scripting and editing technology news packages for a Middle Eastern audience. We are looking for a pro-active, self-starter who is comfortable producing TV news packages from idea to delivery. The successful candidate must ensure that ITN Productions consistently delivers a high-quality, accurate service to our clients. The ideal candidate will have tenacious researching skills, experience of clearing footage and a genuine interest in tech stories and how they can be told. An understanding of Middle East culture and politics is an advantage as is knowledge of Arabic though neither is essential.

Responsibilities
Proficient with desktop picture editing software, preferably Avid Newscutter
Experience of writing to pictures
A genuine interest in, and knowledge of, the news agenda coupled with sound editorial judgement
Interest in technology stories and social media trends
Journalism experience working for a national or local news organisation
Good client liaison skills
Knowledge of Ofcom regulations, media law and copyright issues
Educated to degree level or equivalent
