Contract: This is a full-time contract. Initial term is fixed until 31st March 2022 with an extension until March 2023 pending review from funding partners.

Location: Our Talent Executives must be based in Scotland, with at least one Talent Executive based at Film City Glasgow. Some travel within Scotland and across the UK, and potentially within Europe, will be required (Staff are currently working from home therefore remote working may be considered whilst national COVID restrictions are in place).

As Talent Executive, you will co-lead on the design and delivery of a programme of activity across Scotland to identify and support early career filmmaking talent. Our programme includes SHARP SHORTS, providing funding for up to nine teams to develop, produce and distribute their short films, and FIRST FEATURES, our fund for talent who are developing bold and compelling fiction projects with theatrical ambition.

The Talent Executive will work closely with our existing team, including another Talent Executive with complementary skills, and with the wider Film City Futures and project partner Glasgow Film teams to ensure seamless support for filmmakers across Scotland.

Your background may be as a script editor or in a similar role supporting creative talent through the script development process. You will be well-connected within the screen sector or wider cultural industries, and can work collaboratively to report to multiple stakeholders. Most importantly, you can balance a varied workload and demonstrate an ability to identify and develop talent and/or projects.

You will place environmental sustainability and social inclusivity at the core of talent development and conduct active regional outreach, working from a grassroots level up, to ensure that the widest range of people are aware of, and can access, our opportunities.
