Supervising Producer

CNBC is searching for a talented Supervising Producer to join our dynamic international team driving growth and innovation across digital media platforms. The ideal candidate should be passionate about making business and economic news interesting and approachable for an aspirational, online audience, with the editorial chops to ensure all content is being held to a high standard. This role will manage the Digital Video and Social Media team for EMEA and will act as the EMEA region's main point of contact for the department.

Key Responsibilities:
• Execute CNBC International's digital video and social media strategy in EMEA region
• Communicate core principles and best practice across the newsroom
• Thoroughly vet and sign off on scripts and videos produced by digital video journalists and contributors
• Support the scheduling and publishing of videos on all platforms
• Communicate with social media and digital video colleagues in other regions to ensure alignment on strategy and coverage
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure editorial alignment across all platforms
• Lead and manage the EMEA Social Media and Digital Video teams to deliver the social media strategy and digital video content that drives growth and brand awareness.
• Stand in for the Deputy Head of Digital & Social Media and Social Media Producer, EMEA when required

Qualifications/Requirements

Requirements:
• Degree educated with journalism post graduate or professional qualification
• Smart judgment and awareness about how to make business news, data and features into compelling videos that build an audience and promote sharing
• Ability to perform in a high-volume, multi-task/deadline-oriented environment
• Advanced research and fact-checking skills
• Significant experience in producing, writing and/or editing for the web
• Understanding of social media platforms, publishing tools and analytics
• Strong writing skills
• Knowledge of and interest in the business world and financial news
• Strong people management skills with previous team management experience
• Some knowledge of Adobe Premiere and Photoshop
