SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM - UK Studio

Program Duration: 8 weeks (June 17 - Aug 9)
Weekly Hours: 24 hours/week (Mon-Thurs at 6 hours/day, 100% onsite)
Hourly Rate: £18/hour
Location: FIFTH SEASON, 7-10 Beaumont Mews, London W1G 6EB

Dive into the world of film and television production with this internship at FIFTH SEASON's UK Studio. Gain exposure to the entire production process, from inception to delivery, and develop practical skills through hands-on experience. You'll analyze scripts, assist in budgeting and scheduling, provide creative feedback to writers, and contribute to talent and crew selection.

Job Duties may include:
Script Analysis and Evaluation: Target a script likely to be greenlit and learn how to break it down for budgeting and planning purposes, gaining insights into the financial and logistical aspects of production.
Budgeting and Scheduling: Use work from the production schedule to understand how a show is budgeted, contributing to informed and efficient planning.
Creative Feedback: Provide constructive feedback to writers on script drafts, honing your ability to enhance storytelling and script quality.
Talent and Crew Selection: Assist in shortlisting and selecting key Heads of Department, learning about the critical roles and responsibilities in a production team.
A pivotal aspect of this internship is the candidate's dual interest in both the creative and business facets of the entertainment industry. Although the intern's primary role will be within our department, they will be encouraged to engage with various teams across the organization, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the industry's entire lifecycle. This internship involves participation and exposure to creative and administrative processes-from conducting research and analysis of industry trends to providing support across departments. The intern will also have the unique opportunity to shadow employees, gaining insights into different facets of the business.

As a capstone to their experience, the intern will also undertake an independent project, culminating in a presentation to company executives at the end of the summer.
