Studio Operator

The Natural History Museum is seeking a highly capable and proactive Studio Operator who will be responsible for the operation, technical support and maintenance of the Museum's Attenborough Studio as part of the Museum's NHM Studios team.

The NHM Studios team deliver video and audio formats designed for consumption in-gallery and on the Museum's website. The team also provide support for the public programme of visitor-facing events delivered through the Museum's Attenborough Studio and other presentation spaces.

The Attenborough Studio plays hosts to a number of different audience events including Nature Live, Museum Lates and schools focused events such as Rocks the House. The Studio Operator will work within an interdepartmental, multidisciplinary team but also provide direct support to other members of the NHM Studios team. The role reports into the Head of NHM Studios.

You will have proven experience of working in live audience events or in a live studio environment either in AV or broadcast industries, professional experience of technical elements of live multi-camera production including remote camera operation, sound engineering, studio lighting, vision mixing/ directing, operation of AV control systems and live video streaming. You will also have proven experience in in troubleshooting broadcast or AV systems and resolving technical problems by applying a logical approach.
