Studio Manager

Great Point Studios has acquired Seren Studios Wales and is now seeking a UK manager to oversee operations and development as part of their global studio and equipment portfolio expansion.

THE ROLE:
We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual to work alongside the US management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing studio operations in the UK, ensuring that services and facilities meet the highest standards, managing safety, and ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation. The Studio Manager must display qualities and behaviors that support the well-being of the team, clients, and service suppliers. Although experience in the film, TV, and studio business is essential, the Studio Manager will benefit from the support and experience of the Great Point Studios global team. Some of the key role requirements include:

Knowledge of industry, known to industry and network/contacts, and the ability to create opportunities.
Experience managing large projects (via a developer/engineer), knowledge of UK CDM regs, etc..
Facilities Management, providing a safe and high-quality environment for all where people enjoy working and can thrive.
Finance management, budget setting, approval monitoring, and control.
Knowledge of government processes, planning approvals, grant funding, and claims.
Experience in running an organization - people, Health and Safety, quality.

QUALIFICATIONS:
5+ years experience in Film and Television production experience required
A great communicator who can build strong working relationships with vendors, and internal and external partners.
Understanding of facility and stage operations - HVAC, power, rigging loads, floor weight loads, etc.
Candidates must be decisive, prioritize tasks, multitask, and adapt quickly to a dynamic production environment with strict deadlines.
Strong understanding of local production regulations (safety and permitting requirements).
Strong understanding of local union rules and guidelines.
Willingness to take educated risks and think out of the box.
Create a positive atmosphere of professionalism and support
A self-starter, who can work effectively and drive projects to completion.Application and Deadline
