Job Spec - Gaffer / Lighting Tech (Full Time)
Salary £30-35K DOE

Kennington Film Studios is a central London studio facility and creative hub, with 4,500sqft of studio space including three sound treated infinity-cove stages and one podcast studio.

We are fully equipped with for all client requirements including crew, extensive lighting, camera kit, rigs, drapes and coloramas. Our clients include the BBC, ITV, Hat Trick Productions, Vayner Media, Sidemen and Qatar Airways.

We are looking to recruit a full time gaffer/lighting tech to join our studio team.

Key Responsibilities

The chosen candidate will work on a variety of projects and production genres, so must be comfortable in working on any type of production from commercial and broadcast to corporate, including lighting for VFX/chroma key.

Candidates will be required to gaffer or spark on internal projects for our production company Fortemus Films, and with external clients dry hiring our studio space. You will also be expected to lead on lighting requirements for shoots, up keep and management of internal lighting, and general electrical supervision.

We are looking for someone with demonstrable experience in consideration of the above, a client friendly personality with a willingness to work closely with junior members of the team as they gain vital experience.

Whilst this role is primarily studio based, there may be some location work as and when required. Due to the nature of the role, the working week varies day by day (total of 45 hours per week) and flexibility to work weekends is require.
