Personal attributes: High level of self-awareness, empathy, integrity and confidentiality, detail oriented,strong communication and organisational skills, ability to work as part of a team as well as individually, aflexible approach to working unsociable hours, a positive attitude and a sense of humour.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESResponsibilities for the Sound No. 3 for the Production will include all the services usually required ofthe Sound No. 3 for a first-class production of the scale of the Production, carried out to the highestprofessional standard.The whole company will be expected to work as a team and occasionally offer support to otherdepartments. You may be asked to cover other departments' show plots in an emergency.For the avoidance of doubt, responsibilities may include but will not be limited to:i. Under the supervision of your Head of Department, maintaining the Production as instructedand dictated by the creative team in line with the artistic requirements and direction of theProduction;ii. Working alongside your team, other technical departments, stage management, the actingcompany and resident creative team members to ensure the efficient flow of information asnecessary for the smooth running of the show;iii. Attending all rehearsals, show calls, maintenance calls, get-ins, fit-ups and get-outs as requiredby your Head of Department or the Company Manager, including emergency calls in the eventof equipment failure or other incident, particularly if there is a risk of the cancellation of aperformance;iv. Assisting with the operation and maintenance of all equipment used by your department,including equipment checks prior to each performance, as requested by your Head ofDepartment;v. Acquiring a familiarity with all plots/tracks within your department so that you are able toprovide holiday or absence cover for other members of your department as required;vi. Deputising for the Deputy Head of Department in their absence, if requested;vii. Having an awareness of understudy and swing performances ahead of each show and makingnecessary adjustments, if any;viii. Assisting your Head of Department in compiling and keeping updated cue sheets and otherrelevant show paperwork;ix. Working in accordance with the Producer's Health and Safety policy, which may include workingat height, using appropriate safety equipment and clothing and attending any training deemednecessary;x. Having an awareness and understanding of the Producer's employment policies;xi. Such other services as are customarily provided by a Sound No.3 in relation to the production ofa first-class musical stage play; andxii. Any other duties as may be reasonably required in the course of your duties or as instructed bythe Head of Sound, Company Manager, Production Manager, General Managers or ExecutiveProducer from time to time.
