Social Video Producer

London

We're looking for a creative and enthusiastic social video producer who can ideate, film and edit first-class video content for Grazia that stops our audiences in their tracks, encouraging them to share, shop or comment. You will create content for all Grazia verticals and channels, but with a particular focus on fashion and beauty video designed to drive engagement on Instagram and TikTok.

You will have a strong visual eye and excellent technical skills, with a strong understanding of how to bring the Grazia brand to life on video, as well as the ability to film and edit to deadline and budget. Working closely with the Social Media Editor, you'll be well organised, have an eye for detail and have skills in video shooting, lighting and editing, with a proven track record of creating successful social-first video content, particularly around fashion and beauty.

This is a new and exciting opportunity for someone to join our Grazia team. You'll be based in the London office, with the opportunity to work from home for some of the week when possible.

Key Responsibilities:

Producing, filming and editing video shoots to create a regular video content schedule that works across IG and TikTok - working closely with the social media editor.
Coming up with ideas for new videos according to social trends - and working with the wider team to execute them.
Liaising with the art team to develop and maintain Grazia's video style.
Attending shoots and events where video may need to be captured. Note, these could be out of hours but you would get time back in lieu.
Work with the social media editor to schedule video into the wider social plan, delivering the assets on time.
Working closely with the commercial team to help ideate new commercial video plans to briefs or proactive pitches.
Create eye-catching thumbnails and stills that tempt audiences into the video content
Work closely with the marketing team to help ideate new video plans that can drive key initiatives - eg, the launch of the beauty box.
Research and devise methods for other members of the lifestyle teams to produce short-form video content. This could involve producing a template for self-shooting video via smartphone in store to show what's new in this week, an instruction manual on how to produce social media video or a plan on how we can use our existing social media editing tools to create additional video content using the latest mobile journalism best practice
Take ownership, with the social media editor, of channel management - we aim for meticulous house-keeping of our platforms such as TikTok and Instagram
Own the management, care and servicing of Bauer's in-house video equipment. Provide necessary input to future purchases, outlining what is needed to achieve set goals
You will work directly with our teams on digital best practice, creating exciting graphics, compelling edits, thumbnails that pop, repeatable formats and content that drives engagement, subscriptions and followers
Attending conferences and talking through best performing video of the week - plus competitor learnings.

The Ideal Candidate:

Will have excellent knowledge of professional camera equipment, mobile phone camera technology, sound & lighting
Will be as comfortable shooting on an iPhone as a camera to produce quality results.
Has some proven experience in editing and shooting, combined with an excellent understanding of all social media platforms
Proven passion for shooting and editing great social-first fashion and beauty videos
Will be a social video obsessive who racks up a healthy amount of screen time each week tracking the latest social video trends, with a focus on fashion, beauty and pop culture.
Has the confidence to get details and content right first time, but equally confident to suggest shooting to be done again.
Experience using Adobe Premiere and demonstrate strong ability in Photoshop and After Effects.
Able to demonstrate strong project management skills
Will be an analytical thinker with the ability to translate performance data and audience insights into developing video formats.
Able to demonstrate an entrepreneurial 'can-do' attitude facilitated by continuous learning and application of appropriate best practices.
Has a clear understanding of competitor activity and consumer behaviour.
Will demonstrate a sound editorial judgment with a passion for storytelling, storyboarding and scripting
Will have the ability to work well with others and direct presenting and guest talent.
Has an awareness of media law and Ofcom compliance, as well as health and safety requirements on shoots
Pro-active, committed, quick thinking and able to work calmly under pressure.
Be a team player at every level, and able to work with stakeholders to see a project through to completion.
Will have a healthy obsession with analytics and a demonstrated understanding of how to create content that will cut through on all platforms; with a focus Instagram, & TikTok. Growing and engaging audiences on each is paramount.
