ONLINE CONTENT PRODUCER

Initial 6 month contract leading to full time role

If you're familiar with Facebook pages like LADBible, The Hook, SPORTBible or Joe then this is the job for you!

We're looking for a self-starting, highly creative individual to produce the video content for our social media output. It's essential that you're an accomplished self-shooting director/editor and have experience of working in production, with a comprehensive knowledge of lighting, camera and sound.

This role would will also suit someone who creates video content for their own Facebook and Twitter pages and understands how to generate likes and followers as a result of the content that they have posted.

Preference will be given to the candidate that can demonstrate a working knowledge of social media but above all, you'll know what it takes to create a truly engaging viral video.

This role will put you into production situations that require you to direct musicians, comedy performers and celebrity contributors. You will not be fazed by working in such situations and above all, have the confidence in handling different personalities and sometimes challenging situations as part of a fast paced broadcast environment.

You should have a good grasp of popular UK culture as you will be called upon to create short form viral content that leverages trending topics and breaking news, on a daily basis.

You should be used to working to a brief and to tight deadlines but also able to enthuse others with your own ideas. The role requires excellent management and communication skills and you should be the type of person that can create a buzz in an office environment, bringing a team along with you to produce compelling and engaging viral videos. For that reason, having a flair for writing basic comedy ideas and realising them onto the screen will give you a distinct advantage.

If you can demonstrate the ability to handle the management, video production and social media aspects of this role, you can expect rapid advancement in the company. For this reason, the company is prepared to review this role at the end of the initial six month contract, with a view to converting to full time, including a review of salary and other work benefits.

In brief:

Leading the production of highly shareable video content for social media distribution.

Monitoring breaking and trending news in order to generate original footage or re-purpose short clips to be pushed out across FUBAR Radio and FUBAR FC (football) social media channels.

Contribution in daily editorial meetings, conjuring ways to cover the day's news in a satirical way through engaging social clips.

Production of at least 3 original or re-purposed social media videos per day - to include sports, politics, trending topics, music and entertainment and be distributed across our growing social media channels.

Setting up studio camera positions and working with producers to ensure talent are positioned correctly for optimum quality of output during live programmes.

Occasional working in studio gallery to vision mix multi-camera feeds (we currently use Snappy TV, but training given)

Overseeing the editorial decision process for sourcing visual highlights packages from our daily radio broadcasts.

Post production, including editing audio and video footage, inserting captions, subtitling and preparing for upload to social media channels; experience of software such as Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premier is a MUST.

A competency in InDesign and Adobe Photoshop will be an advantage. The right candidate will be expected to produce engaging infographics across sport, entertainment, showbiz and music. Excellent grasp of graphics and effects within editing software will be important.

Preparation and re-sizing of images to be used on social media channels.

An interest and passion for football is highly preferable but not essential.


You will be expected to work on a flexible basis and sometimes long and unsociable hours hours. Normally 10am to 6pm weekdays.
The role is based at our offices in Islington, London (2 mins walk from Caledonian Road Tube).

Wage - £2,500 per month (equivalent to £30,000 per annum)
