Social First Videographer & Editor

London

We're looking for a Social First Videographer & Editor to create content for digital and social media. Someone who knows the social media landscape and is always up to date on latest visual trends and techniques used to produce stand out content.

Videography

You'll take briefs from clients over a variety of formats for digital and social formats, such as short videos and e-commerce assets, whether that's landing pages or TikToks. You'll take work through all stages of pre-production, production and post production to ensure the final product is creatively on brief.

Responsibilities include:
Hiring and organizing cast and crew
Meeting producers and preparing budget
Working with creatives & writers to build on ideas and propose a clear approach to production
Writing treatments and scripts
Decide on filming locations
Reading scripts and creating storyboards, shoot schedules and shot lists
Working with crew regarding technical shoot requirements.
Ensure the final product is on brief and to the standard expected.

Skills and experience

Social first thinker who knows the visual language and editing style of social media platforms.
Constantly stays up to date on social trends and visual techniques for creating stand out social and digital content.
Able to shoot and edit on iPhone.
Experience using in-app functions to create content for platforms like Instagram, TikTok and YouTube Shorts.
Camera operating - ability to work with a range of professional/cinema equipment including cameras, lenses and lighting.
Strong people skills - must be personable and comfortable when client facing. Must also be able work as part of a team.
Strong creative skills - ability to creatively solve problems that arise in all stages of the process from development, pre-production, production and post-production.
An in-depth knowledge of the production and post-production process.
Editing
You'll take briefs on a variety of projects and versioning and to offline edit on these projects. This includes research, sourcing and ingesting footage, conforming footage, creatively editing the material, sourcing music, putting music and SFX to footage, creating titles, reviewing and taking feedback from client, and exporting various versions as per the client's requirements.

Responsibilities include:
Interpreting briefs to understand exactly what the client requires
Responding to client feedback
Research and in certain cases sourcing footage, music and SFX
Giving estimated timescales on your ability to show edits for creative review and delivery.
Creating creative and technical editing solutions for any problems that arise.
Working with already existing video footage & stills to create exciting social-first content

Skills:
Constantly stays up to date on social trends and social editing techniques like, jump cuts and transitions.
Advanced knowledge of Premiere Pro, Encoder.
Knowledge of After Effects for animating stills or creating basic motion graphics
Strong knowledge of industry codecs (such as h264, ProRes, DNxHD etc.)
In-depth knowledge of the entire post-production process
Strong people skills - must be personable and able to work client facing.
