The Farm are looking for a mid-level Edit Assistant to join our short-form team, based in an on-location facility in Hammersmith. Working closely with production, you will be responsible for assisting at all stages of post, from ingest to delivery.

Hours are Monday to Friday, 9-6pm, with occasional out of hours work as necessary.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required

Technical skills

• The role will be supporting an Adobe Premiere edit workflow, so experience in this (and other Adobe Creative Cloud software) is essential.
• Avid experience will also be an advantage.
• Strong media management skills - sorting incoming media / digitising, managing workspaces, archiving, deleting etc.
• Knowledge of offline, online and grading workflows.
• Competent making deliverables to a range of specifications.
• Comfortable trouble shooting basic technical queries (hardware and software).
• Basic editing skills (in Premiere, Avid and After Effects) would be an advantage.

General skills

• The role will be the sole edit assistant for this contract, so should be prepared to take ownership of the job, and be relied upon to work unsupervised, managing your own time and priorities, whilst meeting all deadlines.
• This is a client facing role, so great interpersonal skills and a willingness to interact and collaborate with staff from both UKTV and external agencies is essential.
• Comfortable working in a fast paced / fast turnaround environment, often under pressure.
• Ability to solve problems both creatively and logically, and not be phased by unusual / out of the ordinary requests.
• Should be proactive with your own training and skills development.
