The role We now have an exciting opportunity for a shooting producer director to join our content team. In this role you will lead a team of people in directing and delivering a number of short form styles for a range of digital platforms; from observational documentaries to presenter-led, studio to promo videos, as well as interviews. Working within a multi-discipline agency environment you will work collaboratively to deliver high volume at pace across multiple digital platforms, while maintaining the highest production standards that deliver on the strategic objectives of the campaign or project.You'll be involved in projects from inception to completion, from the development of ideas through to their expert execution. You will be a key source of expertise within the agency and will be expected to provide advice and share knowledge with colleagues, particularly supporting the development of more junior team members.Key Responsibilities:• Creation of short films, mini documentaries and promo videos, from inception to completion, tailoring approaches to suit multiple digital platforms.• Developing ideas for film content in support of project requirements, thinking innovatively about how maximum impact can be achieved.• Communicating ideas effectively in formatted treatments and proposals.• Working closely with the wider Creative and Digital team, as well as Strategy and Campaign colleagues to understand client requirements and project objectives.• Proactively engage with new technologies and methods of communication across multiple platforms, sharing new and innovative ways to improve internal processes and approaches.• Take a balanced journalistic approach to production.• Support more junior colleagues, supporting their development and ensuring the highest standards are met.About You:You will have at least two years' experience as a shooting producer/director, creating high quality video content in different styles and genres for broadcasters and/or online channels either as a freelancer or an employee.You will have the experience and professionalism to produce the highest quality film content across different media platforms. You will be able to work at pace and will thrive in a high-volume, quick turnaround environment. Essential Skills:• Excellent shooting and sound recording skills on the Canon C300/100, Sony FS7/FS5 and A7S, and an in-depth knowledge of lenses, lighting and shooting styles.• The ability to get the best out of contributors from all backgrounds.• Ability to edit produce, creating compelling stories.• Exceptional creativity and innovation, able to independently drive original ideas.• Excellent scriptwriting and treatment writing skills• Strong understanding of different filmmaking genres and of the media landscape, including social media and YouTube video content generation.• Previous experience of long and short form content across multiple digital platforms.• Experience of or an interest in political/current affairs is desirable.Lastly, we're committed to hiring a diverse workforce from different professional and cultural backgrounds, and to that end we encourage a variety of people to our company to represent the diverse range of subjects associated with our projects.
