Series Producer

Bristol/London

Mallinson Sadler Productions seeks an experienced series producer for DRAIN THE OCEANS, our groundbreaking maritime archeology series for National Geographic Channel.

The position is based in London but will involve some work in Bristol. Ideally you can start work within a few weeks, although we may hold the position open longer for the right person.

The person we are looking for will have strong recent experience delivering high quality specialist factual series to National Geographic or a similar broadcaster. Managing over 15 minutes of CGI per episode is a major part of the challenge of DTO. We'd like to hire someone used to working with a large team of talented directors blending together stylish original photography with a significant quantity of ambitious, high quality CGI.

He or she will be a strong writer with an understanding of the language and story-telling rhythms of today's best premium factual documentary, and enjoy the challenge of turning complex stories into exciting television for a general family audience.

Previous experience of underwater filming would also be an advantage.

It's a demanding job with tight deadlines and a high editorial bar. We're looking for clear thinking under pressure and the ability to manage a heavy workload.

The contract will be for approximately 9 months but our hope would be to extend into future series.
