BBC Children's is looking for an experienced Series Producer with a passion for producing top class content for our audience to work on Biff and Chip.You will have the opportunity to work on the 1st series of the CBeebies show adapted from books of the same name. The show will be based in Manchester.The BBC is the leading Children's broadcaster in the UK. Our content seeks to entertain, inform and empower children, adding real value to their lives.Role ResponsibilityWorking to the Executive Producer, you will manage all stages of the production process, from scripting through filming to post-production and delivery, ensuring that deadlines are met, budgets are not exceeded, BBC editorial guidelines are adhered to and the most creative, high quality content is produced.You will help define creatively the mood and personality of all content, ensuring it's a faithful representation and adaptation of the books. This will include working with and developing the designs as per the books, as well as helping to craft and adapt stories that will resonate with the Children's youngest preschool audience.Are you the right candidate?You'll have a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the preschool audience, and a good awareness of BBC Children's output and children's content from other broadcasters. You should be passionate about content from this important audience and reflect their diversity.You will be a Series Producer or an experienced Producer with a proven track record in multi-episodic producing content that appeals to the youngest audience across all platforms. Some experience of scripted production is ideal along with the ability to think on your feet and react to changes quickly, working closely with the team around you. It is essential you have a thorough understanding of working with very young performers and an ability to communicate clearly.Demonstrable experience of leading, motivating and managing large teams is essential, as is developing and managing the performance of all editorial staff.
