Senior Travel Writer

London

MailOnline, the world's largest English-language newspaper website with over 200million monthly unique visitors globally, is recruiting a talented Senior Travel Writer to join the London team.

Reporting to the Mail's Head of Travel and Deputy Head of Travel, the successful candidate will help support digital growth and will understand the unique demands of digital publishing.

Suitable candidates will be experienced online journalists with an impressive track record of finding and breaking exclusive stories of national and global interest, able to produce strong news articles as well as creative features.

Applicants must be able to generate their own story ideas daily and deliver vibrant, clean copy to very tight deadlines while working self-sufficiently in this office-based digital role.

Responsibilities will also include commissioning and editing, as well as supporting the senior editorial team by looking at new opportunities to grow digital audiences.

Prior experience in national or global online publishing is essential, as is an NCTJ qualification, a good understanding of media law, and a watertight understanding of tourism and transport sectors, trends and consumer issues. Experience within travel journalism is a bonus.

This is a fully office-based role in our offices in High Street Kensington.
