Sage Gateshead is an international music centre with multiple auditoriums, all with world class acoustics. The Senior Technician will line manage both full time and casual Technicians, delivering training and developing staff. To make sure events are staffed appropriately, they'll produce and manage the Technical Rota, ensuring the information is issued to technical staff in a timely fashion. They will oversee the implementation of all aspects of Health & Safety legislation within the Technical Team as well as regular equipment maintenance and statutory inspections of machinery. They'll also deputise for the Technical Manager as required, and work on concerts, events and performances as a technician. Although the Senior Technician will manage staff across all technical disciplines, a background in lighting could be particularly beneficial.
