Waterloo Road is looking to expand its team and has a position available for a Senior Script editor. This is an office-based role in Greater Manchester.

Job description:
- Lead and manage a script team
- Lead script meetings as and when required
- Lead scene breakdown meetings with writers
- Assist the producers in discovering and recruiting new writing talent
- Maintain and update script schedule
- Lead on script continuity
- Give notes to writers as and when required
- Work closely with story producer and story team to maintain continuity
- Work with the research team to ensure all scripts are factually correct
- Help script editors manage challenging queries
- Ensure all admin tasks are carried out effectively by the script team
- Maintain a good communication with the story team and writers
Criteria:
Candidates will be able to demonstrate evidence of the following:
- Can work to tight deadlines
- Can give clear concise notes
- Some management experience and leadership skills
- Able to generate story ideas if required
- Has a knowledge of new writing talent
- Can edit other people's work with sensitivity
- A passion for the show is essential
Experience:
Candidates will be able to demonstrate one or more of the following:
- At least two years' experience as a script editor within the scripted drama sphere
- Some management experience or training
