Senior Scheduler

London & Remote Working HYBRID

The Senior Scheduler role is a key part of the Narrative Entertainment Ltd Operations Team. The Scheduling team creates and delivers daily presentation playlists for Narrative's UK Linear channels, which cover General Entertainment, Kids, and Movie genres. Playlists are based on programme plans created by colleagues in the channel teams. This role also entails delivering VOD schedules for the 3 VOD services at Narrative (Pop Player, Great Player, and Great Player Red Button) The team is responsible for other key transmission-related data feeds, including listings, EPG data, as-runs, commercial break files, etc.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
* Work under the guidance of Senior Scheduling Operations Manager to run presentation scheduling for Narrative's channels using relevant scheduling software and systems (BTS).
* Keep up to date on specific updates for all channels within genre.
* Cover channels within genre when a member of the team is away.
* Contribute to team decision making with Senior Scheduling Operations Manager (channel changes, workflow updates, processes that could be improved).
* Be available out of office hours for transmission issues that need resolving urgently.
* Liaise with On-Air and Playout to ensure smooth planning and operation of daily programming grid coordinated with technical scheduling requirements.
* Export daily and monthly programming grids for listings distribution partners (e.g. Global Listings, Narrative Digital Team).
* Create daily presentation schedules with full inventory of advertising & channel branding for UK channels.
* Liaise with transmission suite over successful uploading of presentation schedules and to attend to matters arising.
* Communicate with Media Planning team upon playlist creation and promo placements using BTS.
* Liaise with On Air, Sales and Marketing teams and third parties to ensure commercials, sponsorship and cross-promotions are processed accordingly.
* Scheduling and delivering the VOD schedules in a timely manner to multiple 3rd parties using different locations and export functions.
* Interpret audience research and liaise with team regarding performance.
* Produce commercial transmission reports for global and regional ad sales and marketing.
* Work in a collaborative manner within the scheduling team and with all channel teams, providing advice and support to regional office
* Contribute to the optimisation of the scheduling workflow, to ensure a reliable and time efficient operation of the channel.

* Typically 1- 2 years TV scheduling experience, preferably in an international, multi-channel environment.
* Knowledge of OFCOM compliance regulations.
* Understanding of overall channel positioning objective and desired on-air look.
* Experience with scheduling software and systems
* Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
* Understanding of the local TV/media business and overall industry trends in channels and programming.
* Passion for television, an awareness of changes in digital media consumption, and ideas for exploiting them to the benefit of the channel
