This role requires working closely with Production Executives and Managers, as well as the rest of the finance team, on the reporting of production finances. The ideal candidate would be someone with several years' experience in television production accounting, with the ability to work simultaneously across many productions. Key ResponsibilitiesManage a portfolio of productions across the documentary, entertainment and branded slate, from development to wrapTo have a working knowledge of the AVEC tax credit scheme and be able to apply the regulations across the qualifying documentary slateTo develop a high-level working knowledge of Just TV (the cost management and finance system) and be able to train production teams in the cost management functionTo build relationships with other stakeholders in the business, including Heads of Production, Production Executives and Managers, as well as the finance leadership team, to ensure accurate and comprehensive delivery of cost management and reportingComplete month-end reconciliations for the portfolio and ensure that there is a clear understanding over the month end position across revenue, gross profit and balance sheet itemsDeliver month end reporting packs for external use where requiredHold responsibility for credit control on allocated productions to help control cashflow. Ensure sales invoices are sent on time and accurately, then where appropriate chase outstanding debtContribute to annual production budgeting and financial forecasting processesBuild and maintain cashflows for each production, in multi-currency where requiredEnsure compliance in areas such as HMRC reporting, VAT, IR35 and payroll legislation Please note that responsibilities may be amended, added to, or removed to reflect the changing needs of the production or organisation.Knowledge, Skills and Experience: Several years' experience of working as a Production Accountant, across a variety of genresGood experience of working on productions with multi-currencyExposure to tax credits is desirableExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailExperience of system change, training and implementation is preferableAbility to work across multiple productions simultaneouslyAbility to work both as part of a team and independentlyStrong prioritization skills and the ability to work under pressureExcellent IT skills, with knowledge of a range of software packages, including ExcelA curious, inquisitive, proactive attitude and a positive work ethicIdeally qualified, but at the minimum a solid understanding of accounting principlesLocation: The base for this position is Kew, London.Working Days: 5 day week, x4 days in office and x1 day WFHYou will be expected to work with the team to plan a schedule based on production requirement.Lieu days will be given for any days worked over a five-day week.Whisper offer the option of flexitime hours subject to production requirements.Start: ASAP - on a 12 month FTC with a view to extend.Application Closing: Friday 7th November 2025 Salary: Based on experience
