Purpose of the Role:The Channel Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of a number of YouTube channels, spanning a wide array of preschool and children's brands. Channel Managers are expected to develop and execute on a strategy to grow YouTube channels, devising appropriate content, promotional, and partnership activity needed to achieve that growth. The role requires developing expertise in WildBrain's catalogue and content verticals and performing constant competitive analysis, to identify how WildBrain can improve its channels. Responsibilities include performing ongoing YouTube viewership analysis, using multiple analytics tools in order to validate existing strategies and provide information to guide programming, marketing, and investment decisions going forward. The Channel Manager manages relationships with a small set of external clients, regularly communicating with these groups to ensure that all channels adhere to brand guidelines and that all required materials are received. It is a key element of the role to understand how clients' channels can fit into the larger WildBrain network and develop effective cross-promotion strategies that ensure mutual benefit to all parties.Responsibilities • Creating and programming YouTube channels.• Ensuring channels adhere to YouTube best practices.• Keeping up to date with YouTube platform developments, trends, and training.• Optimizing titles, descriptions, and keywords to be SEO.• Writing and editing metadata and copy for videos and channels.• Providing regular updates on channel activity and growthSkills & Experience:• Some demonstrable experience in digital media.• Proficiency in using Photoshop.• Proficiency in video editing using Premiere and/or Final Cut.• Familiarity with the YouTube platform.• Familiarity with Microsoft Office• A strong team player and collaborator• Brings a sense of curiosity and open to finding innovative ways of working• Excellent organisation, prioritisation and able to work flexibly in a fast-paced and dynamic environment• Analytical, with ability to communicate to internal/external parties when required• A motivated attitue with a strong desire to learn, grow and succeed• Professional and proactiveBenefitsWe care about work/life balance here at WildBrain Spark.
