We have an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Post Production Technical Assistant to work in our Post Production Department. In this role you will be responsible for leading a team of Post Production Technical Assistants, working in conjunction with several other Post Production teams. You will also provide an advisory role for other areas of Post Production and in managing first-line support in for Post Production engineering.Working with a team of experienced editors, post production engineers and workflow specialists, technical training will be provided to the right candidate to progress career development. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone that has worked in a post-production environment for two to three years and is looking for a new challenge.WHAT WILL YOU DO IN YOUR NEW ROLE? Managing the workload and rota of the Post Production Technical Assistant teamLiaising with Post Bookings and Post Engineering and Media Management departments dailyHelping with planning and workflow of new Post Production projectsTrouble shooting any Post Production or edit suite issuesAssisting with Post Production Technical Assistant work, such as:The preparation of offline and online edit suitesProvide operational desktop support for Avid, Premiere Pro & Dalet editing systemsDigitising and capturing footage from various sourcesWorking closely with the media management teamAssist with transcoding and file based workflowsAssist in proofing and QC of digital media encodes and broadcast deliverablesProvide operational editing assistance to clientsDO YOU HAVE THESE ESSENTIALS?Candidates must be educated in a media or technical related subject.Strong problem solving skills and experience are crucial.Must be confident in communicating with clients.Minimum 2 years experience of working with editing systems, ideally an Avid environment.A strong understanding of video file formats and codecsDO YOU HAVE THESE DESIRABLES?Experience and good knowledge with Adobe Premiere editing systemsSome Pro Tools experience certainly an advantage.Experience and practice of coming up with basic media workflowsPreparation of media: importing, exporting, transcoding, to a variety of formatsExperience and knowledge of media management toolsTHESE ARE THE PERFORM COMPETENCIES YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED IN YOUR ROLE...Excellent problem-solving skills.Ability to work as part of a team.Be a thorough and conscientious worker.Excellent time managementGood communication skills with confident delivery.You must be comfortable working within a fast-paced, sports-focused environment.An interest in sport and sporting news is not crucial, but that is what you will be working on.A desire to learn, take initiative and think on your feet.
