The role of the Senior Location Manager requires liaising with the editorial teams, schedulers and design department at the script commissioning stage, insuring the final scripted location is the best it can be taking into account budget.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
As the Senior Location Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth running of the Location Department and Team.

you will be required to interpret scripts and identify the number, types and sequence of locations required for production.

The role assesses the suitability of different locations, negotiates fees, arranges for the cast and crew to travel to site, and manages the production crew's use of each location.

Importantly, you will develop a strong working relationship with location owners, local Councils and Film Agencies whilst researching, sourcing, and assessing situations that arise, which sometimes could be a requirement to source unusual locations for the requirements of the production.

A requirement to organise recce schedules for production, investigate potential problems that could arise, whilst always being in contact with the local residents within a shooting area of up and coming filming and dealing with any issues.

Are you the right candidate?
To be successful in this role it is essential you can demonstrate the following:

• Proven experience of working as a Location Manager on a large-scale drama production, Ideally Continuing Drama.
• Can evidence that you have directly line managed a team, including training and developing junior team members.
• Can evidence you can communicate with and influence Senior Stakeholders.
• Can evidence resilience and the ability to adapt to change and management of conflicting priorities.
• Experience of working alongside multiple Directors, Designers and PMs at any one time.
• Demonstrating a deep knowledge of drama television production processes to include but not be limited to recces, production shoots, travel requirements and a proven knowledge of all health and safety regulations.
• Experience of managing and supervising multiple blocks of filming and working across multiple scripts at any one time.
• Experience of sourcing location team members.
• A full and clean driving licence.
• Full competency and understanding of risk assessments
