The Specialist Works are looking for a senior editor to join our dynamic creative team.

We are an independent advertising agency with a rapidly growing creative department, and having recently taken on bigger and bigger productions now require an improved editing process.

We are looking for someone to take on the role of our in-house editor for all productions. They'll be responsible for managing the entire editing process, including file management, backups, workflow and timeframes. Not only will they need to be an experienced video editor, but also have experience in motion graphics (ideally After Effects) and be able to produce first pass grades and audio mixes.

We are interested in someone who brings a great deal of creativity and personality to the role - this is very much a team effort and your ideas will play an integral part in the creative process.

We are looking for something with the following skillset:

Required Skills:
• A sound grasp of the entire Adobe Creative Suite, with specialisations in Premier Pro and After Effects.
• Considerable skill with Adobe Premiere Pro, knowledge of best practice work-flows
• Providing accurate editing timeframes for the Producers and raising any troubleshooting problems that may occur.
• Basic colour correction and grading, colour matching angles.
• Basic audio mixing capabilities
• A good understanding of professional formats and codecs
• Attention to detail and demand for the highest standards
• Ability to share ideas and work with clients
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work calmly in high pressure environment with different people and clients
• Commercially minded
• Flexible and able to work across multiple projects simultaneously

Beneficial Skills:
• Ability to create a professional grade utilising programs such as Davinci Re-solve, Premiere Pro and After Effects. Good knowledge of colour science, Luts and grading plugins to achieve a desired look.
• Proficient audio mixing capabilities to broadcast level.
