Senior Editor/Head of PostThe RoleFirst and foremost, you will be a great editor, understanding the craft of storytelling, enabled by razor-sharp technical ability. You will bring big ideas to your work as well as meticulous attention to detail to ensure every edit is as good as it can be.Complementing this, you will have the ability to lead our post production offering, taking responsibility for our growing team of editors as well as the technical and logistical oversight of our workflows.Key to this role is a genuine desire to create incredible work, while building a family of editors in our stunning central Brighton studio, making us a post production presence in the city and beyond. Key Responsibilities Editing work for a wide range of clients, industries and platforms. No day is the same at Progress and we take pride in delivering a wide range of work as reflected by our website.Ownership of the post production workflow at Progress. You will be intrinsically involved in every project ensuring our approach in post is contributing to the creative success of the film.Oversight of our team of editors and animators, both full- time and freelance. We need someone who can motivate and inspire diverse teams, give clear feedback and credit where it is due.Technical governance of our in-house post facility including the professional running of edit suites and all supporting software, hardware and production storage infrastructure.Working closely with Production to ensure jobs are budgeted, scheduled and delivered above client expectations.Maintaining our Slate account, ensuring our talent's reels are up to date with the very best versions of work visible.Key Skills Experience in an offline edit house or post facility desired.Ability to be a real leader to both junior and established editors working with Progress in a freelance and full-time capacity.Great organisational and administrative skills.Great project and people management skillsStrong technical knowledge is required in this post, with strong knowledge of Adobe products.
