Purpose of the role -

We are seeking a Senior Digital Designer, to champion content creation within a newly formed content team, and to drive our digital and social first marketing strategy. Aesop is an aesthetically driven company, and we strive to deliver both physical and intellectual nourishment through our products, behaviours and conversations, with passion and excellence. We are looking for someone who can uphold these values and effectively communicate them to a mobile first customer.

The role will focus on content creation for both product and editorial narratives, whilst also embracing the opportunity to respond to world and cultural events, and to resonate with our customer in a nuanced and meaningful way - driving our difference and brand values at all times. As a senior member of the team, you would also encourage the general growth and output of the team, helping to drive transformation, learning and opportunities.

The role will involve working from concept through to final delivery across all digital and social channels, Aesop.com, email, paid media, and social platforms with a strong focus on display advertising - this to include Asian and Chinese social channels also. A strong understanding of retail and e.commerce and how to effectively drive traffic through the stages of the customer journey is crucial, along with a strong aptitude for innovation and digital design trends, as we seek new ways to bring our ideas to life creatively through technology.

Who we are looking for -

5+ years' experience in a similar role, in agency or luxury retail brand
Highly proficient in Adobe Creative software/ Photoshop/ InDesign/ Premiere/ After Effects / Illustrator/ Dreamweaver/ JavaScript and other tools for animated banners, responsive landing and website pages and emails, online forms and more
Knowledge of HTML/CSS
A team player who can work closely with others to problem solve and propose creative solutions
A portfolio / showreel that demonstrates both excellence in aesthetics and technical skills
Ability to adhere to pre-defined design guidelines to ensure content is on-brand and cohesive, and yet to champion fresh content iterations within this
Able to react quickly to changing demands and priorities, and to juggle multiple projects at once; proactively

Avid interest in culture -- music, food, architecture, media, literature, technology and more
Confidence, friendliness, and respect when working with colleagues around the world
Detail-oriented, with a keen interest in Aesop's brand and culture
