The Senior Designer position is central in the creative and commercial expansion of the new ventures division within the PANGAIA brand. The designer will be responsible to ensure that the vision is aligned through all mediums including but not limited to content, website, packaging, product branding and guidelines.In this position, the Senior Designer will be central to the development process, ensuring the inputs of the Creative Director are implemented. Likewise, this position will align brand, marketing and ecom teams on content and brand design. The Senior Designer will directly be executing design and leveraging internal/external design resources. Ideal candidates take their craft seriously, but also enjoy designing quick hits for laughs and likes.The work environment at Pangaia is very fast-paced and energetic; no day is ever the same. We are a small team with an entrepreneurial spirit and work style.a day in the lifeCreation of digital assets, organic social assets and general contentCreation of packaging for current and new productsBuilding of internal & external partnership communications - brand decks and a variety of different presentationsLead as a creative voice of new venture projects under the Creative Director in terms of branding and graphic projects from research stage through final executionParticipate in broader Pangaia group creative meetings to remain consistently updated with brand happenings for new venture integration / cross-promotion creative opportunitiesBe responsible for all required creative proofings and spec approvalsWork closely with team members to ensure design development aligns with the branding guidelines and visionCollaborate productively between graphic design, ecom, digital, marketing, merchandising and product departmentsWork closely with outside agency partners for larger brief submissions along with day to day execution and timeline managementBe responsible of all label designs, artwork, guidelines and creating a process for approvals with internal key stakeholders to ensure timelines are metRequirements5 years of hands-on brand and packaging/graphic design experience and Bachelor's Degree in DesignAdvanced experience with Adobe Creative Suite softwareUnderstanding of global markets (US market experience is a plus)Understanding of FDA and other regulatory compliance for CPG packaging is a plusStrong typography skills, conceptual design skills360 brand design experience (i.e., print, packaging, digital, environmental, experiential)Illustration, photo retouching, film editing, motion design knowledge3D and Coding knowledges are a significant plusExtraordinary design taste and expertise with an excellent sense of design trendsStrong understanding and experience within CPG, Food & Beverage, Supplements and/or Wellness categories (Beauty / Care is a plus)Lifestyle, Design, & Culture: Responsible for staying ahead of current trends in design, fashion, music, lifestyle brands, social media, and all relevant digital platforms.Ability to work in an agile, dynamic work environment with a start-up mentalityStrong stakeholder relationship management - effectively influence at all levels in the organization, as well as across regions and functionsEffectively communicates (in English), verbally and written, with internal and external business partnersCollaborative and works well with others to deliver results; keep others informed to avoid unnecessary surprisesAbility to multitask. Time and project management skills to be able to meet project deadlines
