Senior Content Producer

London

The Virgin group - a unique group of companies changing business for good, giving customers more choice and better service whilst having fun along the way. Taking bold steps from finance to health to travel to space. What these companies haven't been before is truly connected...that is, until Virgin Red was created.

Ooh, I'm intrigued
Virgin Red is launching this year. Well, okay - it already exists, but it's about to become a whole lot bigger and better, rewarding customers for Living A Life More Virgin. Members will be able to earn and spend a new kind of currency, Virgin Points, across a wide range of partners and Virgin companies - giving them access to both everyday rewards and a curated list of exclusive experiences. And by being the hub connecting the Virgin companies we can get a deeper understanding of our customers and open up new opportunities for our partners.
It's bold, unique and customer experience driven - Virgin in a nutshell.

Tell me more
Virgin Red is preparing to launch like a rocket ship and our content production - which will play a pivotal role - is set to match. We need a Senior Content Producer to join our ranks and help us create thumb-stopping content that'll keep Virgin Red moving at hyperloop speeds.
For this role, we need a multimedia content native, with a strong focus on social and video creation, who can wow our followers on the Virgin and Virgin Red digital channels, visited by customers all over the world. This includes Virgin.com, Virgin social channels and our exciting Virgin Red rewards club.
You do it all - social, video, editorial, paid media creative - you're a content creating powerhouse, hungry to reach the top of the feeds. You're as comfortable shooting video for the launch of Virgin Voyages' Scarlet Lady as you are a short-form social video on Greggs sausage rolls (one of our tastiest reward partners). You get a kick out of crafting stunning Insta Stories, from quizzes to deep dives, and building community-driven UGC that gets people talking. And you're a natural-born storyteller, with a journalistic knack for sniffing out hooks, interviews and discoveries. Of course, as a wordsmith, you'll turn these into brilliant long reads, features and listicles too - with the hookiest social sells to go alongside.
Make no mistake, you can turn your hand to where the work is - but your passion lies within social and video creation, whether original productions in-house, briefing agencies or on location around the world. Yes, there'll be some travel involved in this role once the world reopens, though, for now, we're mindful of lockdowns, working from home and staying safe . And don't even get us started on the perks, we've left those until last.
You'll work closely with Virgin Management, Virgin Companies across the Virgin Group, agencies and partners to source and develop content that appeals to our members and helps us grow and expand our reach and engagement.
You're confident, enthusiastic, and a great communicator, and you've no problem selling in your ideas to stakeholders at all levels. You understand how to use content to tell stories and bring our people, purpose and brands to life. And you have great attention to detail - nothing gets past you. That's why you've put the word 'beach' somewhere in your application and addressed it to the person who wrote this JD.
You'll work closely with our Brand, Product and Data teams, always making sure your ideas are data-driven and ladder up to our core objectives. You're a positive thinker, adaptable and a great problem solver - you're constantly looking for solutions and ways for things to work better - from content performance to process.

Does this sound like you? We'd love you to have you on board.
Key responsibilities are:
Creating daily, multimedia social content (inc. IG Stories, graphics, UGC spotlights, social video, motion graphics) to publish across key social channels, from Facebook to LinkedIn.
Helping to plan or brief, shoot and edit larger video projects; interviews, podcasts, vlogs, street interviews or on location with Virgin companies.
Writing thumb-stopping social post copy and highly shareable editorial our audience can't help but read, with page one dominating SEO to boot.
Work with the Content Manager to concept larger social and content campaigns and series, sitting across all channels, as tentpole moments throughout the year.
Experimenting with new formats and new channels - eg Reels, Facebook Live, dual IG Stories, YouTube series.
Designing these assets yourself, contributing to the development of a new house style for social content and original video across our existing channels.
Staying on top of the latest content trends, with a finger on the pulse of what's working and what's not.
Ensuring your ideas deliver against the Virgin Red and Virgin content strategy and remain on-brand.
Develop content partnerships with Virgin companies, Virgin Red partners, and external partners, alongside other members of the team.
Help build Virgin Red and Virgin's reputation as a leader in branded content, embedding our brand identity internally and externally through content.
Ensure Virgin Red and Virgin content is complementary and used to support each other, always thinking about how to maximise content across all formats and channels.

OK, what do I need to show?
For this role we need you to be/have:
You've worked on creating and producing a range of content types, for content campaigns and day-to-day content. You know how to stop the feeds - and have the stats to prove it.
You have four or more years experience in a similar role, either agency or client-side.
You're a master of the Adobe suite, notably Premier Pro, After Effects and Photoshop. You're also no stranger to an Excel formula, content CMS or social scheduler.
You can shoot on a range of video cameras, from mirrorless to GoPros. And you're comfortable with lighting, sound and the odd presenting gig.
You're able to plan content for the future, or quickly respond to new content opportunities and deadlines.
You're a safe pair of hands, meticulous, with excellent organisational skills, setting and holding yourself and those you work with, to high standards.
You are looking for a role that you can make your own. You are self-motivated and proactive, someone who enjoys picking up and learning new skills and ways of working.
You're a team player who enjoys supporting others and sharing knowledge. Likewise, if you don't know it, you'll stick your hand up and learn fast.
You understand how to create content that raises awareness, engages audiences, and meets business objectives.
You're familiar with test & learn methodology, and know how to apply insights to create more relevant, segmented customer comms and experience.
You can create content in Brand's tone of voice, and can adapt based on channel, audience, or content topic.
You're a self-starter. You strive to deliver on time and do what you say you will. You don't need chasing.
You're confident in communicating and collaborating with all levels across the business and know how to present, influence and sell in your ideas.
You're up to date on content trends and best practices, and able to apply and try them. Better still, you know them before we do.

And desirable:
A working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Audition and InDesign.
You're familiar with paid social and the creative needed to support it.
You have experience working in any of Virgin Groups industries, including travel, health and wellness, finance, space, people and purpose, and technology.
You're not afraid to apply, even if you don't tick all the boxes - yet.
