Our Animation Studios are an awarding winning animation production company based in the heart of Bath; we produce work of the very highest calibre.

In recent years Funko has become established as a global pop culture phenomenon; working with Lucas Films, Marvel, Disney, DC Comics, Warner Bros, and Microsoft. The animated content produced at Funko Animation Studios in Bath heralds a new era of original Funko animation.

We are looking for a Senior CG Animator to work in our busy team. Previous experience in animation is essential; The ideal candidate would come to this role with a thorough understanding of the animation pipeline and workflow. You will have expert knowledge of the animation principles as well as an expert proficiency animating in Maya. Excellent attention to detail is key, as well as the ability to take direction positively and work collaboratively with a diverse group. 4+ years working experience animating characters for commercials, or a TV series is essential.

The role will involve working closely with the Head of Department to proactively communicate challenges and troubleshoot solutions. You will be willing and able to engage in all stages of animation, with a strong ability for the initial layout as well as finessing in the final stages.

The role is offered on a three-month freelance contract basis with an immediate start. The Senior CG Animator will report to our in-house Head of Department. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, organised, able to use their initiative and generally make themselves indispensable in this fast-paced and rewarding environment.

The ideal candidate's skillset will include:

• Strong animation ability

• Keen eye for timing

• Experience in Maya

• Previous Series work required (4+ years desirable)

• Strong communication skills

• Basic storyboarding ability

• Working to tight deadlines

• Positive and enthusiastic

Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK and be able to work full-time, in-house at our studio located in Bath, UK.
