Avensys Hire & Events are looking to recruit a full time, experienced AV Events Technician based at our HQ in Crawley, West Sussex. This is an exciting opportunity to work with an established AV hire and events team with an established pipeline of large corporate events over the coming months. We are looking for a technician who is passionate about the world of events, with a beautifully geeky outlook and approach to technology. Are you ready to make a real difference to the next stage of the Avensys Hire & Events journey? Job OverviewResponsible for the planning and technical implementation of Hire and Events Projects. The role requires you to proactively assist with the planning, preparation, delivery, setting-up, operation and removal a range of audio visual equipment. Onsite you will be a senior member of the technical team and be responsible for all onsite operations.Skills/Experience Required:• Minimum 3 year's relevant industry experience, setting up & operating a range audio, lighting, video & projection equipment • Must be confident to act as Team Lead on site• Excellent organisational and planning skills• Experience of creating technical specifications and conducting site visits• Experience of operating Video, Sound and Lighting equipment on events• A good understanding and genuine interest in Audio Visual event technology• Good all round knowledge of Lighting, Sound and Video • Excellent communication skills; must be confident to liaise with colleagues and clients• Positive, happy and can-do attitude• General IT knowledge - to include excellent operational knowledge of PowerPoint• Excellent attention to detail• Be able to follow instruction, as well as use own initiative working to tight deadlines and operating in a fast pace and demanding environment• Be willing and able to learn on the job, as well as through structured training• Work safely and tidily when under pressure• Must have the capability to lift and carry AV equipment and staging from vans to venues• Ability to work long hours on events and in busy periods when required• Full, clean, UK driving licence is essential• Fluent spoken and written English
