Senior AP - Rugby Team

London

THE ROLE
As a Senior AP in the Rugby department at Sunset + Vine you will be a vital member of a team producing 100s of hours of high quality sports TV coverage every year.

We are looking for someone with experience of working on live sport, as well as producing feature interviews and music pieces for a TV sport audience.

Our Senior APs are tasked with coming up with ideas for - and the delivery of - the big opening sequences for cup finals and major events, while working throughout the year on a variety of features and promotional VTs.

You should have a good idea of how a sports TV department works, and be prepared to help us plan to get the most out of our resources by putting together intelligent edit schedules and shoot plans.

You should have experience of working with camera crews on location, organising access with sporting superstars, and not be overawed in doing so. You will have a track record of directing creative and fantastic looking shoots, and be able to make the most of any location or scenario you are presented with, no matter how unpromising it may be!

You will be familiar with the role of EVS in live Sport, and have experience of working in a live ob environment.

As a Senior AP you will be expected to lead by example, help coordinate the efforts of other members of staff, and be a crucial link to the producers of our programmes.

Digital and Social Media are a key element of what we do, so you will also be well-versed in offering alternative digital content to promote the competitions we cover at Sunset+Vine.

A good knowledge of rugby and the personalities involved in the contemporary game is a huge asset, but first and foremost we are looking for people with original ideas, the skills to deliver them, and a relentless work ethic.

Please note
• Ideal start date: August 2018
• Fixed-term contract for 10 months, with the possibility of becoming a permanent position
• This role is based in our office at BT Sport in The Olympic Park in Stratford.
• The role will include weekend and evening work

Sunset+Vine continues to welcome diversity, celebrate individuality and support an inclusive working environment. As users of the disability confident scheme, we are aiming to interview as many disabled applicants as possible who meet the criteria for the role.
