Our exciting new, indie Cornered Tiger is seeking an *experienced senior scripted development leader* to join the growing team.

About Cornered Tiger:?
Cornered Tiger is an exciting emerging indie developing ideas with diversity at the very heart of its content.?Scripted comedy and drama are our passion, and we also develop unscripted content. In the two years we've been on the scene we've already secured a commission and several scripted and non-scripted paid developments from broadcasters. We have a diverse slate of scripted projects in development -?from comedy to drama to fantasy, live-action to animation with established and up-and-coming writers. We are also developing our existing IP into fresh ideas and programmes for multiple channels too.
Cornered Tiger is headed by Adil Ray (Citizen Khan, Stephen, Blithe Spirit, Ackley Bridge, Good Morning Britain, Lingo) alongside Debbie Manners (BBC, Keo Films, Hat Trick). Our base is Birmingham, but our team is located around the UK including London, everyone works remotely, most of the time, with some team meetings or brainstorms in either London or Birmingham.

Overview:?
This person filling this role will be a crucial member of the creative team. Supported by our development assistants, they will be responsible for leading the scripted slate - including continuing to develop existing projects as well as bringing new and exciting ideas and IP to the table.

**Responsibilities and Day-to-Day Duties:
Driving and managing the company's scripted slate
Expected to work on many projects at any given time and to the best quality
Originating, acquiring and developing unique original ideas which fit the Cornered Tiger brand and ethos
Optioning ideas, treatments, and other IP
Working with the development team to prepare pitch documents, treatments and conduct pitches
Looking after and developing the company's talent base and identifying and engaging with new and established talents??
Working with writers and talent to ensure scripts and treatments are delivered to commissioners at the highest standard and meet any parameters as set by the channel
Engaging and forming relationships with commissioners and be able to produce and pitch high quality decks and treatments.
Keeping abreast of the international TV format market for licensing opportunities as well as commissioning briefs.
Liaising with and attracting established and new writers.

**The ideal candidate will be:
A dynamic individual with a proven track record within the TV industry that includes significant contributions to commissions and dealing directly with commissioners
A team player with a strong work ethic, prepared to roll up their sleeves where needed within a boutique company
Ability to inspire in brainstorms and meetings, whilst illustrating a creative and informed viewpoint about all things scripted,
Positive, personable and flexible within a constantly evolving work environment
**Able to demonstrate:
Ability to turn a topline idea into a great pitch and can show examples of taking an idea from inception to greenlight
Strong writing skills, presentation skills and script editing.
A comprehensive understanding of drama, comedy and scripted programming, with knowledge of successful content and emerging trends in the UK and across global broadcasting
Strong relationships with key commissioners, broadcasters, agents and writing talent
Contacts for established and emerging scripted talent in the UK
